The class web site (Soc 233) is a creative way of getting students excited about the subject,
keeping them up to date on assignments, and providing them with valuable online resources. The class site will be engaging,
I'll present information that will make the subject interesting and fun, such as information, resources and links; including
the text book use for the course.
Here we will focusing on major sociological perspectives, theories, and concepts
along with environmental influences to better understand human behavior in terms of race and ethnci relations in the United
States. Research for the class is done through a synthesis paper, which may be either quantative, qualative, and/or both because
the scholarlly writings on the subject show a preponderance of evidence on the usefulness of both approachs, so either will
be an option, you can use a combination e.g. blended effort.

In the News

Here I might mention a story in the news that pertains to my subject and solicit opinions from the class. Or I might ask a
question about material we covered in class, for example:
This week we read a great short story. If you could be any
of the characters in this story, which would you be and why?
Take a look at the class trip to the U. of P. Anthropological Museum at http://sociology233.tripod.com/IMAG0001.JPG.wbk.
